June 20-22, 2019: I presented my paper, "Aping Blackness: Visual Resonance and the Politics of Recognition in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia" during the 37th annual International Visual Sociology Association (IVSA) conference at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. I will also be exhibiting some of my photographs.

On May 28, 2017, I discussed Black Lives Matter and the Movement for Black Lives at the self-managed and self-funded, international, anti-authoritarian festival, B-Fest, in Athens, Greece.
On September 24, 2016, the coalition "Take 'Em Down NOLA" organized a protest to remove the statue of Andrew Jackson and other symbols of white supremacy in the French Quarter and around the city of New Orleans, Louisiana.
